VIN Inspector Pro is designed to work without collecting personal information. You do not need to create an account, provide your name, email address, or any other personal details to use this service.
When you use the VIN checker, the VIN you enter is sent to government databases (NHTSA, EPA) to generate your report. We do not store the VIN or the results after your session ends.
When you use the Photo Inspector, your images are sent to an AI service for analysis. The images are processed in real time and are not saved, cached, or stored on our servers.
The only data processed during your visit is the data you actively submit (a VIN number or photos) for the purpose of generating your inspection report. This data is used solely to produce results for you in that session and is not retained afterward.
VIN Inspector Pro uses the following third-party services to operate:
Government APIs: We query the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) public databases to retrieve vehicle safety, recall, complaint, and fuel economy data. These are publicly available government resources.
AI Processing: We use AI services to generate buying advice and photo analysis. Data sent to these services is processed per their respective privacy policies and is not stored by us.
Hosting: The website is hosted on a cloud platform that may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, browser type, timestamps) for operational purposes.
VIN Inspector Pro may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks, including Google AdSense. These advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This helps display ads that are more relevant to you.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
